Welcome to Lillie's Quilting Loft. Lillie's is an internet business which I started on March 24, 2008. My name is Pam and I named the business after my mother, Lillie. She and my father are the two most influential people in my life.

My mother was born and raised in Boones Mill, Virginia, a small town just south of Roanoke. (Beautiful country.) Anyone from that area knows that quilts are in every home and quilters are everywhere. We visit the area at least twice a year; for a family reunion every summer and for making apple butter in the fall.

My mother met my father in Rockville, Maryland while doing her internship for nursing. They were married and stayed in Rockville where my father and his family were living. I was born and raised in Rockville along with my two brothers, and moved to Orlando in 1975 when I married. I had a career of 30 years in Human Resources and raised two sons, always searching for time to quilt. I feel very fortunate that I now have that time. Not only that, but I can now bring beautiful fabrics, along with books, patterns and other quilting supplies into your home. I moved to St. Cloud Florida, just outside of Orlando, a few years ago and have set up my shop there.

My mother still talks about her childhood and watching her mother and grandmother creating wonderful handmade quilts with whatever fabric they could get their hands on. These quilts were used to keep them warm and comfy in the winter. Look how far the art of quilting has come - what a tribute to those women.
